Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve

Official tourist routes in the Danube Delta

You cannot go just anywhere in the Delta: tours follow the numbered routes set by the Biosphere Reserve Authority (ARBDD). Here they all are, by water and on land.

Tourism in the Danube Delta follows the rules of the Biosphere Reserve. One of them concerns routes: to protect nesting areas and keep the birds undisturbed, the ARBDD set numbered tourist routes, shown on the tourist maps it publishes. All our tours use these routes only.

To visit the Reserve you need an ARBDD access permit; we tell you how to get it when you book. Details and the official map are on the ARBDD website.
