Plecarea se face din Tulcea. Coborâm pe Brațul Tulcea până la intersecția cu Canalul 36, coborâm pe Canalul 36 și apoi facem dreapta pe Gârla Sireasa, zone foarte bogate în faună deltaică (păsări și animale de apă).
Continuăm excursia pe Gârla Șontea, unde vom avea ocazia să vedem nuferi albi și galbeni, lebede, lișițe, rațe, gâște, lopătari, sitari de mal, ibiși și probabil chiar pelicani. Străbatem apoi canalul Olguța și ajungem la Mila 23, exact în mijlocul Deltei Dunării.
